Thanks for looking at my website.

I started my career in security and protection back in the '80s firstly on the doors in my home town of Norwich, and then I attended a six-week close protection training course run by former members of the British Special Forces and ended up travelling the world looking after the rich (but not so famous!).

I started writing in 2002 and published my first book; Doing the Doors, which is now a genre best-seller. Confessions of a Doorman, Maria's Story and Bouncers and Bodyguards followed. For a while I also published and edited Protection News for the close protection community, The Circuit on-line magazine for the British Bodyguard Association and On The Doors - the only magazine in the world dedicated exclusively to Door Supervision. I have also written a large number of articles and editorials for both commercial and business publications worldwide.

I have a number of new book projects planned for 2010 / 2011 including a book alongside the prisoner Charlie Bronson called Respect and Reputation OUT NOW, and The Mammoth Book of Hard Bastards (UK title) / The Mammoth Book of the World's Toughest (US title) for publication early 2011. I am also re-writing and completely updating Confessions of a Doorman which will also be published early 2011.
